When I first started blogging I never thought that I would of had over two thousand page views on my blog. This had come at such a surprise to me that I decided to use my method and build on it. In this post I am going to show you how I managed to achieve this. I know its not the greatest achievement and I am pretty sure you have read a lot more success stories gaining more than this in a week. But nevertheless it was quite an accomplishment for me.
If your anything like me I never thought it was possible to have that many. Some days I managed to gain over 200 views! I only started out blogging for me, to have fun and to improve my writing skills. So to have that many people come and take an interest in what I have to say.
How did I do it you ask? Well lets take a look at these simple steps in order to increase your page views:
Write three amazing posts
The first thing I did after creating my blog was create three great posts. Other bloggers would disagree and say a few more posts but as long as the quality of the content is there it shouldn't really be an issue. Having trouble writing a great post? Check out Generating great qualities of blog content. As long as the reader finds more than one post to read when they visit your blog to give yourself a better chance of them staying on your blog.
Get your name everywhere
The next thing I did was sign up to all the social media sites I can find. Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn to name a few. This way many people can stumble upon your blog through these sites and also you can share your posts through them. In this day and age everyone should have them. They are great for free promotion. Just take half hour to an hour a day networking and connecting with people to spread the word about your brand.
The best thing about these is that you do not have to be sat at your computer to network. These days everybody has a smart phone and you can socialise on the go. That's what I do. When I am walking through town or waiting for an appointment its easy to keep connected.

Create a LinkedIn profile
I have put this one separate from the above paragraph for a reason, this is the one that gained me the most traffic. Linked in is great for gaining traffic to your blog because it is traffic that is interested in what you have to blog about. I wont go into to much details on this post as I have already covered it but you can read how to make the most out your LinkedIn profile here.
Be active in your niche community
Making blogging friends is key to gaining more traffic to your blog because you can relate to what other bloggers are going through. Also you can share tips and posts together creating backlinks. Try to network with as many people as you can and you will be on your way. This didn't really work out for me at the start but two months in I am starting to create relationships. This is a slow but very rewarding process.
Keep posting
The best thing to do is to keep posting, people wont come back to your blog if you do not post new content. Give your reader a variety of topics to read about, cover as many aspects as you can.
