Today we are going to discuss the two different types of search engine results. This is a great post for that extra little bit of knowledge on understanding how you can get your website onto the first page of search engine results.

Search Engine Optimisation is the process taken to rank higher in search engines over enemy websites or blogs.

There are two types of search engine results, organic (natural) or paid. Getting listed high in the search rankings is crucial for anyone with a website. This can benefit you in sales and conversions if you are looking to make some money online. Another thing to consider is that when people use search engines, they tend to not spend a lot of time looking through all the search pages to look for your page. So its vital we know how to get there.

You can pay for a high place on the rankings through Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising. Through programmes such as Adwords and Microsoft adCenter. If you pay a higher rate than your competitors your website will can get placed on the first page of the search results.

Organic search results

Organic search results are where your website ranks on its own without the help of payed advertising and through skilful SEO. Getting your website on the first page of search results should be the goal for any blogger (I know that) and anyone trying to make money online. Through your targeted keywords placed appropriately and can result in some tremendous traffic and product sales which will be most people on the internet these days.

I hope this short posts has taught you that little bit more about SEO. It certainly helped me and I now understand how a search engines rankings work that little bit better.
